Harry Potter 德文翻譯 (呃，無劇情)
Boing Boing 報導了一群德國的 Harry Potter fans 在四十五個小時內將 Harry Potter 翻譯成德文版 (不知道多少人)，而官方版本預定要「三個月」：German Harry Potter fan-translation in 45 hours。
我在無名有看到 “HARRYPOTTER6″ 這個板也在搞翻譯，名單上有 15 人，來看看要多久？:)

Harry Potter 第六集 (本篇無內容)
看到許多人在哀嚎被電視台爆破 J.K.Rowling 所寫的 Harry Potter 第六集內容，我應該要很慶幸我沒有看電視的習慣 XD
不過其實我不是來炫耀這個的 -_-
剛剛在 BBC 中文網 的 《哈里﹒波特6》全球同步發行 這篇裡面看到這段：
據估計，羅林的哈里﹒波特小說目前在全球暢銷書排行榜中名列第三。排在第一位和第二位的分別是《聖經》和《毛主席語錄》。

我們利用 Flickr 的 Note 在「天瓏的中文書櫃」這張照片裡面開始寫書的註解 (還不到「書評」的程度)：(需要點進去才看的到 Note)

Intel 收購 Electronics Magazine 造成的失竊
跟預期的差不多，有 1965/4/19 的 Electronics Magazine 單位就倒楣了：英特爾高價收購 圖書館意外遭殃，其中伊利諾工程圖書館的兩本館藏馬上少了一本，於是為了避免再發生，只好將另外一本下架。
而其他學校也對 Intel 在 eBay 上高價收購表示不滿：
史丹佛大學、華盛頓大學等多所大學都對英特爾在eBay出價1萬美元購買該雜誌表示憤怒，自從該新聞傳出後，許多人也加入出價行列，價格現在已經又提高了。

Moore’s Law 到此為止
在 Slashdot 上看到：Gordon Moore: Moore’s Law is Dead。
Intel 的創辦人 Gordon Moore 在 1965 提出來的 Moore’s Law 一向被產業界視為金科玉律。
但在 4/13 TechWorld 的報導中，Goldon Moore 他自己說 Moore’s Law 差不多了：
Forty years after the publication of his law, which states that transistor density on integrated circuits doubles about every two years, Moore said this morning: “It can’t continue forever. The nature of exponentials is that you push them out and eventually disaster happens.”
另外一個跟 Moore’s Law 相關，而且相當有趣的新聞：這個影響四十年的定律，當年 Gordon Moore 在 Electronics Magazine (現在已經不在了) 發表後拿到的那本雜誌，在借給他人之後就沒有還他了。於是 Intel 並沒有這本雜誌的紙本。
結果 Intel 就跑到 eBay 上面開價一萬美金，希望取得這份紙本收錄：Intel Seeking Moore’s Law Original Publication」(Slashdot)、Intel Offers Reward for Original Moore’s Law Text (Reuters)。

TAOCP - The Art of Computer Programming
這是在鳥窩上看到的新聞：Volume 4 終於要出版了… 不過，是一部分 -_-
該死的賊老頭 Donald E. Knuth 終於要把一部份的 Volume 4 丟出來了：(quote from Exclusive Excerpt from Volume 4 of The Art of Computer Programming)

雖然大家都沒期待他能活著寫完七本 (別打我，這的確蠻多人都這樣想的啊 :p)，不過許多人對於他又丟出了一些 (讓大家少了一些遺憾？) 還是蠻高興的 :P
