Moore’s Law 到此為止
在 Slashdot 上看到：Gordon Moore: Moore’s Law is Dead。
Intel 的創辦人 Gordon Moore 在 1965 提出來的 Moore’s Law 一向被產業界視為金科玉律。
但在 4/13 TechWorld 的報導中，Goldon Moore 他自己說 Moore’s Law 差不多了：
Forty years after the publication of his law, which states that transistor density on integrated circuits doubles about every two years, Moore said this morning: “It can’t continue forever. The nature of exponentials is that you push them out and eventually disaster happens.”
另外一個跟 Moore’s Law 相關，而且相當有趣的新聞：這個影響四十年的定律，當年 Gordon Moore 在 Electronics Magazine (現在已經不在了) 發表後拿到的那本雜誌，在借給他人之後就沒有還他了。於是 Intel 並沒有這本雜誌的紙本。
結果 Intel 就跑到 eBay 上面開價一萬美金，希望取得這份紙本收錄：Intel Seeking Moore’s Law Original Publication」(Slashdot)、Intel Offers Reward for Original Moore’s Law Text (Reuters)。

Intel 收購 Electronics Magazine 造成的失竊
跟預期的差不多，有 1965/4/19 的 Electronics Magazine 單位就倒楣了：英特爾高價收購 圖書館意外遭殃，其中伊利諾工程圖書館的兩本館藏馬上少了一本，於是為了避免再發生，只好將另外一本下…
